WHAT'S NEW ON KCSN FM

Effective Sept. 2 KCSN will feature new evening programming of Adult Acoustic Alternative music, also known as “Triple A”, to parallel our unique weekend programming.

Students from the University's Music Industry Studies Program will assist with identifying new artists to showcase.

KCSN remains the only radio station in Los Angeles to feature such an innovative format.

We proudly welcome broadcasting legend Bernie Alan to our classical airwaves. Bernie is the new voice of Afternoon Classics, 2–6PM.

He started his career at WRTI and worked at WNCN, WPIX, WPAT, WNYC and others. Eventually he headed out west to work at KFAC as Program Director, and landed at such noteable stations as KROQ, KOST, KZLA, KKGO, and KUSC. For 20 years Bernie was the station voice for KCET Television here in LA.

Music 101 is a unique radio feature based on interviews with music students and educators.

The two–minute radio program is the brainchild of broadcast and print journalist Erik Derr, a lifetime lover of the Classical repertoire who deeply believes in the transformative power of music education and the inspirational value of a good story.
